The charcoal industry has been selling filler for decades. Standard briquettes are packed with limestone, chemical binders, and sawdust—up to 30% of the bag never becomes hot. BAM is 100% American timber bamboo, engineered for serious pitmasters.

Whether you're searing on a kettle or smoking in a Kamado, BAM delivers a perfectly clean burn.

The BAM Difference:

  • 997°F Peak Heat: Dense bamboo structure reaches extreme temperatures with no fillers.
  • Zero Binders/Fillers: 100% pure American bamboo. No chemical smoke.
  • 2.8% Ash Residue: Pure carbon burns away clean for consistent airflow.
  • 93.4% Carbon Content: Lab-verified purity for a reliable cook.
  • Note: Only 200 boxes available in this Founder's Batch.

FAQ

Common Questions

Is bamboo charcoal better than regular charcoal?

Yes. Regular charcoal relies on scrap wood and chemical binders — up to 40% fillers. BAM is 100% pure bamboo, burning hotter and longer with no fillers or binders added.

Does BAM burn hotter?

With zero limestone fillers, BAM easily reaches 900°F+, far exceeding standard briquettes, which are limited by non-combustible limestone fillers.

Does it affect the flavor of the meat?

BAM burns without the byproducts of fillers and binders — letting your meat's natural flavor come through.

What grills is it compatible with?

All charcoal-based cookers: standard kettles, ceramic kamado grills (Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe), and offset smokers.

Why is it low ash?

Ash is mostly the byproduct of fillers — sand and limestone — in cheap charcoal. Because BAM is pure bamboo carbon (93.4%), nearly 100% of the fuel burns away, leaving minimal ash residue (2.8%).
